We recently stayed at Rydal Lodge and had a fantastic time. The breakfast options were excellent, with a wide variety to choose from. The owners were incredibly kind and helpful, providing us with valuable information about the area and even giving us a birdbox as a gift. We loved spending our evenings in the garden by the river, it was such a peaceful and enjoyable experience. The location was perfect for the hikes we had planned and we were impressed by the positive feedback from regular guests. we had a great stay at Rydal Lodge and highly recommend it.
The only minor issue we had was with the insects in the garden in the evenings. However, a simple application of insect repellant solved the problem.

I had the most delightful stay at Rydal Lodge. The Loughrigg Suite was a charming haven, with its quirky nooks and cosy lounge. The ensuite bathroom had all the luxurious amenities I could ask for, from fluffy towels to indulgent bath products. The hot drinks selection in the room was excellent, and the fresh milk provided was a lovely touch. I felt truly pampered! The Honesty Bar downstairs was a hidden gem, and the tranquil river at the end of the garden added to the relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast spread was outstanding, offering a wide range of delicious options. I particularly enjoyed the full English breakfast with a perfectly cooked tomato. With so many attractions within walking distance, like Woodsworth's home and Dora's Field, I didn't even need a car. I highly recommend Rydal Lodge for a delightful and memorable stay.

We arrived late in the evening and were greeted warmly by Jerome, who made us feel right at home. The architecture of the building was fascinating, with a mix of 18th and 16th century design. Our room was cozy and comfortable, and the breakfast in the morning was absolutely delicious. We enjoyed a refreshing fruit salad and a hearty fried breakfast before heading out for a scenic walk to Ambleside, which was conveniently located just a short distance away. The garden overlooking the river was a lovely spot to relax. We also appreciated the option for evening dining at the nearby hostelry. I had a wonderful and reasonably priced weekend getaway in the beautiful Lake District. I highly recommend this hotel for its friendly service, great location, and tasty food.
